2017 HEAL Facilitator Training Program in Norway
April 2, 2017
We are extremely excited to announce our first international HEAL Facilitator Training in Moelv, Norway at Lundehagen Farm (www.lundehagen.no ). Applications are now being accepted for the next class which begins in April 2017. The five-month program includes two weeks of on-site instruction (early spring and late summer), with a summer semester of distance learning and mentored practice in EFPL.
The HEAL training attracts professional educators, counselors, therapists and life coaches from around the world, preparing them to incorporate the alternative therapy known as “equine-facilitated psychotherapy and learning”, or EFPL into their practice. Participants learn to facilitate horse activities for experiential psychotherapy or learning, helping clients increase relational ability, emotional well-being, self-awareness and empowerment. The HEAL model is particularly applicable to healing the effects of trauma and emotional dysregulation.
The teaching faculty includes Kristin Fernald, MA, LMHC, HEAL graduate and Designated Instructor, with Assisting Instructors and HEAL graduates Jeanette Lysell and Norunn Kogstad, MD.
HEAL Founder Leigh Shambo, MSW, LPCC, is the Program Director and will be a Distance Instructor in HEAL FTP Norway.
